Summer is the season when your individual choice and style of garden become important. Or is the herbaceous border more your sort of thing, with reliable plants that flower regularly year after year? Perhaps you go for the mixed garden, with small trees and shrubs, perennials, a few annuals for edging – and always a bit of space somewhere to pop in just one more must-have item.
